An Argument Against God
A chief argument against God's existence is the presence of evil. If we phrase this argument as a question it might be something like this: How can a wholly good, all loving, omnipotent and omniscient God permit evil to exist? We begin to answer this question by reason alone.
Is 2012 the End of the World?
The 2012 phenomenon is a present-day cultural meme proposing that cataclysmic or transformative events will occur in the year 2012. A New Age interpretation of this transition speculates that, during this time, the planet and its inhabitants may undergo a positive physical or spiritual transformation, and that 2012 may mark the beginning of a totally new era. Conversely, some believe that the 2012 date marks the beginning of an apocalypse. What does the Bible have to say about the year 2012 and will there really be an end to this world?
Capitalism
The 2009 documentary film, Capitalism - A Love Story, directed by Michael Moore puts forward an indictment of the current economic order in the United States and capitalism in general. There can be no doubt about it that recent revelations concerning how rich men have acquired their wealth, has opened the eyes of the general public. Though long known among the rich, it has been hidden from "the man in the street" by financial terms which he did not comprehend. With his increase of knowledge he has received a "shock." His reverence for the rich and the great is shattered. This is but the forerunner of the complete loss of confidence in everybody and every thing, pointed out in the Scriptures.

Bible Course
I have taken, and passed, a basic Bible course from a group of Bible Students. Next is a "Ransom" course about Jesus sacrifice. I have just begun the Ransom course.
Greek Scriptures
I am just about to finish reading the Greek Scriptures again. This time with my new Bible, the NASB translation. Many verses are much easier to understand. Of course, I am now in Revelation! Ken.

Memorial
This year, the anniversary of Jesus death is Friday, April 10. The passover begins the previous evening, the anniversary of the Last Supper. I will observe this memorial Thursday evening, April 09, at a local Church.
This Winter
I will be so glad when this winter is over. I am re-reading "The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived" while also reading the Greek scriptures in chronological order. The two parallel and compliment each other. Ken.
NASB Bible
I purchased the NASB Bible I mentioned earlier. Smaller, lighter-weight, small print. Very nice. I can understand the grammer so much better, I know I spend much less time in reading. I began reading the Greek Scriptures and am going through...

Bible Reading #6
I am about to finish reading the entire Bible for the 6th time. If, and when, I have the money, I plan to purchase an NASB, non-study Bible and see if that will help my studies further. Happy Holidays, everyone. Ken.
